Happy Birthday Chiropractic!  121 years and going strong!  Chiropractic is the largest natural healing profession in the world and for very just cause.  It all began on September 18, 1985 when Dr. Palmer delivered the first chiropractic adjustment to his deaf janitor and his hearing was restored!!  Amazing isn’t it?  The miracles didn’t stop there though.  In the early 20^th century, Dr. Mayo (of the Mayo clinic) took his wife to the Palmer Clinic after trying absolutely everything with no success.  Dr. Mayo was skeptical.  He was also contradictory to Dr. Palmer and his methods. Dr. Mayo couldn’t understand why the area of pain was not the area Dr. Palmer was addressing (as Dr. Palmer was looking to the top of Mrs. Mayo’s spine), but even so Dr. Mayo stated his wife left well!

There is lots of research and lots of studies all filled with the amazing miracles people have experienced through chiropractic care.  I wanted to share a few we have experienced in our offices just within the last few months.

• We began taking care of a 4 year old boy who had severely crossed eyes. His doctors were unsure of what exactly was causing the crossing but their solution was to cut the muscles going to the eyes, so they would relax and the eyes would straighten.  When his mother asked what would happen when his eyes adapted, the doctors said we will cut the muscles again.  Fortunately this did not resonate with his family.  He began upper cervical specific chiropractic care and began to change almost immediately.  Within a few months the specialists checked him and pronounced he was back to 100%!  Now he brings his whole family in for care with him.

• We were referred a woman who was having such severe vertigo she was diagnosed with a very rare condition. The treatment protocol was a very invasive brain surgery.  Her co-worker referred her to us.  We evaluated her, took scans, x-rays and started adjusting her with specific upper cervical chiropractic care.  Her vertigo began to lessen very early on.  After about 2 weeks of care her husband came in with her and asked how did we know so much about this very rare condition that so few doctors knew about?  We explained we did not know more then we learned from her about it, but we did however know a lot about subluxation and the upper cervical spine.  When there is pressure on the brain stem the human body cannot function the way it is designed to.  She is happy, healthy and surgery free now.

• About 2 weeks ago we began taking care of a man who had been diagnosed with frozen shoulder. He has been in therapy for about a year and a half to try to resolve it.  We explained to him that if your watch isn’t working the first thing to check is the battery.  Our job is to check to make sure there is power traveling from your brain to the rest of the body.  We examined him, took x-rays and saw that his neck was not lined up the way it should be.  Within one week of care he noticed he can raise his shoulder higher then he could, there is less pain/discomfort and he can reach around his back.  The best part is we have never once touched his shoulder!  Instead, we went right to the main power source, the top of his neck (just like Dr. Palmer never touched Mrs. Mayo’s knee).

Health comes from above down, inside out.  We are blessed to do what we do.  We take care of a lot of people and get to witness the miracles daily!
